One of India's largest telecom companies, Bharti Airtel, has launched its Voice over LTE (VoLTE) services across Goa. In a press note, the company informed that VoLTE, which works over 4G, will offer HD quality voice calls and also faster call set up time.

Airtel VoLTE will be available on 4G/LTE mobile-phones. But, the phones should be having an Airtel 4G SIM to use VoLTE. Bharti Airtel also informed that there will be no additional charges for VoLTE and existing plans will apply for billing. It often happens in Goa that 4G connectivity is not available in a certain region. In such cases, the company said that VoLTE will automatically fall back over 3G/2G network without interrupting the connectivity. Rohit Marwha, chief executive officer - Maharashtra & Goa, Bharti Airtel said, "We are delighted to launch VoLTE and add yet another service to our portfolio enabling customers to make the most of their mobile phone experience on our world-class 4G network across Maharashtra and Goa. With VoLTE, customers can now enjoy seamless and high quality voice calls on our robust 4G network."
During the week, efforts will be underway at the GMC hospital to promote handwashing as a simple, effective and affordable way to achieve good health, a prevention strategy that can prevent multiple diseases.
