Alliance needed to defeat BJP, says Jose Philip

VASCO

Stating that he would contest from the Dabolim constituency, State NCP President Jose Philip D'souza reiterated the importance of alliance among like-minded parties to defeat the BJP at the upcoming assembly elections in the State.

During a news conference, D’Souza said he recently met Congress party leaders and had a discussion on forming an alliance with the Congress party.

“People want an able alternative and an alliance by like-minded parties will give a better outcome. Like-minded regional parties like MGP, Goa Forward Party, etc. should be a part of the alliance as there are chances that if they field their candidates, it might split the secular votes," said D’Souza.

D’Souza said he would contest from Dabolim constituency as his voters were eagerly waiting for him to contest from Dabolim.

"Recently, we had a corner meeting in few places from Dabolim constituency and the response was overwhelming," said D’Souza.
