MARGAO
Residents of Cuncolim will now have healthcare services closer to home with the launch of the Amche Arogya Polyclinic.
The polyclinic has been set up by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and former Chandor Sarpanch, Savio Henricks, to provide affordable and accessible healthcare, especially for the poor and marginalised.
The facility was formally inaugurated on Sunday in the presence of Savio Henricks, who recently joined AAP, along with senior party leaders.
Speaking at the event, Henricks said Cuncolim residents had long struggled to access basic medical care, with many forced to travel far, creating difficulties for the elderly, daily-wage workers and poor families.
“With this clinic, quality healthcare will now be available at our doorstep. It reflects AAP’s focus on people’s welfare over politics,” he said.
He added that Goans were tired of neglect and fear-based politics. “People want work, not intimidation. This polyclinic shows AAP’s commitment to healthcare and education for all,” Henricks said.
The facility will provide free medical consultations and essential medicines, ensuring healthcare support for every family in Cuncolim. AAP leaders said the move is part of the party’s wider vision to make healthcare and education accessible across Goa.
