Superior General Sr Marie Jane Pinto, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, 20 April at 6.45 am at Navelim, led her life adhering to her motto “What do we live for if not help each other ?”
As tributes pour in, it only signifies the changes ushered in by Sr Jane into the lives of all those whot traversed her path.
“She was with Perpetual Succour Convent High School, Navelim from the year 1965 to 1984 and was instrumental in setting up the campus. She was ther Superior General two times and served for a period of 12 years,” informs Sr Santana Goes. “She was working for the Church run Prison Ministry for the past 18 years. Until her demise, she was with St John of the Cross, Sarfona-Sancoale. She touched the lives of many. She spent her last days at Nazareth House, Navelim where she was brought due to illness.
