Another Goan is arrested for peddling narcotics in the Southern part of Goa. As per information by SP Crime Branch (CB) Nidhin Valsan, Meenaxi Kholkar was caught red-handed with 866 gms of Hashish Oil and 1.9 kg of Ganja from her possession at Fatorda. Its value is estimated at Rs 8 lakh in the international market, and the banned substance was meant for distribution in the State for the tourist season. The 34-year-old was also caught with Rs 3.28 lakh cash, which is also seized for the purpose of investigation.
The CB had earlier this week arrested two siblings Devidas Naik (42) and his sister Jyoti (45) for running a drug racket from their family-run café and their residence at Anjuna. The team recovered various types of drugs worth Rs 18.50 lakh and Rs 3 lakh approx. cash from their possession.
