Cycle Party, a 10-seater eco-friendly pedal-powered will be officially inaugurated by Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar and Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar, on Monday at the launch of the Multilevel Car Parking Lot in Panaji.
The concept of the Pedibus popular in Europe and North America is for the first time being introduced in India and is promoted by the young entrepreneurs Heta and Harsh Patel.
The Pedibus tour will begin in Candolim and Baga and can be booked online. The bus has a seating configuration similar to that of a dining table giving a personalised feel to those riding it.
The promoters have said that the routes will be decided according to the tourism and traffic department’s convenience.
“The rates are attractive and special deals on food and beverage can be availed at partner restaurants, which are also pick up points for participants.”
“Tours will highlight popular beaches, night markets, sunset destinations, food-lover’s choices, Goan heritage sites and clubbing spots,” they said.
