Areal villagers call for meeting on Thursday

The villagers of Sao Jose de Areal have called for a meeting at Padribhat, on Thursday, at 5 pm, on the issue of the installation of the statue of Shivaji Maharaj in the village on Monday without panchayat permission.

Panchayat members as well as villagers have called upon the people of the village as well as the people of Goa to come in large numbers. In the appeal, the panchayat member Joyce Dias has said that attempts have been made to disturb peace and tranquility in the village and have urged the people to attend the meeting in large numbers.
