The villagers panicked due to the sudden death of the cattle in the area.
According to sources at Quepem police, the villagers informed them that around 40 cattle were found dead under mysterious circumstances. People were shocked as they didn’t know the reason behind the death, even as they suspect that the cattle might have died due to poisoning or some disease.
Till late in the evening, Quepem police and some members of NGO were present at the site.
The post-mortem will be conducted on Thursday and the cause of death of the cattle will be known thereafter, informed sources.
