Assembly session likely to be held in third week of July

The monsoon session of the State Legislative Assembly is likely to be summoned in the third week of July.

“It is not decided yet but the Assembly could be summoned in the third week of July. It may also depend on the elections to the Rajya Sabha,” said Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.

Speaking on the withdrawal of amendments to the Tenancy Act, Chief Minister Parrikar said, “If we complete the entire legal procedure before the assembly session is summoned, then we will come out with an ordinance. Or else it

may be passed in the session itself.”
