Asst Public Prosecutors undergo GIPARD training

The Directorate of Prosecution has organised give day training programme (from 14th to 18th March 2023) for newly appointed Assistant Public Prosecutors of 2016 batch onwards through Goa Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (GIPARD), Ella’s Farm, Old Goa.

This training Programme is to train the Prosecutors on various aspects of Criminal law and the Court procedure so as to enable the Prosecutors to efficiently conduct the criminal trial and lead evidence in Courts effectively.

Altogether 28 Assistant Public Prosecutors are deputed for this training programme who will be benefitted by the experiences and guidance by senior Prosecutors, Lawyers, Police Officers and other senior Government Officers.

This training programme will also include practical conducting of cases, case studies discussion and panel discussions on Issues and challenges in administration of criminal Justice system.   

This training programme was inaugurated on 14th March at 9.30am in the presence of Chief Guest Advocate General, Devidas Pangam, Poonam S Bharne, Director of Prosecution and Dr Seema Fernandes, Asst Director of GIPARD at the premises of agency.
