Award for Agonda inst head

CANACONA: The Headmaster of St Anne Institute, Agonda, Alberto Fernandes, has been conferred with the Lifetime Achievement Award for Education.

The award has been conferred by International Institute of Education and Management, New Delhi, for his contribution in the field of education.

In 2015, the same institute had conferred on him 'Best Educationist Award' for his outstanding achievements in the field of education, which Fernandes received at New Delhi. Fernandes is also a recipient of the International Education Excellence Award from International Business Council, New Delhi, awarded in 2015, at Dubai.

Fernandes has been in the education field since 1984, taking up assignment as a teacher in St Anthony High School, Galgibaga. Thereafter, he served in St Theresa of Jesus High School Chaudi-Canacona till July 2012 when he was promoted and posted as headmaster of St Anne Institute Agonda from August that year.
