OLD GOA
The roads in Azossim and Mandur were flooded on Monday morning due to continuous heavy rain in the area. In Azossim, a section of the main road was flooded, which happens every year during heavy rainfall.
In Mandur, the Tinto junction was flooded, and the road leading to the panchayat was underwater, forcing locals to use the road from the Mandur RHTC to reach Dhaktem Bhat and Vhodlem Bhat.
The road towards Mandur Church was also flooded because the nearby stream overflowed.
Many churchgoers were affected as the water rose above knee level. The situation improved only after the rain stopped around noon.
