Besides‌ ‌three‌ ‌tested‌ ‌positive‌ ‌in‌ ‌Ganeshpuri,‌ ‌two‌ ‌each‌ ‌in‌ ‌Ansabhat‌ ‌and‌ ‌Housing‌ ‌Board/Ekta-nagar‌ ‌and‌ ‌one‌ ‌each‌ ‌in‌ ‌Morod,‌ ‌Dattawadi,‌ ‌Ganganagar‌ ‌(Khorlim),‌ ‌Altinho‌ ‌and‌ ‌Cunchelim.‌ ‌Colvale‌ ‌primary‌ ‌health‌ ‌centre‌ ‌saw‌ ‌13‌ ‌new‌ ‌cases‌ ‌“‌ ‌Revora‌ ‌(6),‌ ‌Tivim‌ ‌(4),‌ ‌Assonora‌ ‌(2)‌ ‌and‌ ‌Colvale‌ ‌(1).‌ ‌Health‌ ‌Officer‌ ‌of‌ ‌Siolim‌ ‌PHC‌ ‌Dr‌ ‌Sadhna‌ ‌Shetye‌ ‌informed‌ ‌that‌ ‌10‌ ‌positive‌ ‌cases‌ ‌were‌ ‌found‌ ‌in‌ ‌her‌ ‌

jurisdiction‌ ‌“‌ ‌Anjuna‌ ‌(4),‌ ‌Siolim‌ ‌(2),‌ ‌Assagao‌ ‌(2),‌ ‌Parra‌ ‌(1)‌ ‌and‌ ‌Canca‌ ‌(1).‌ ‌

Eight‌ ‌new‌ ‌positive‌ ‌cases‌ ‌were‌ ‌reported‌ ‌at‌ ‌Aldona‌ ‌PHC‌ ‌“‌ ‌Ucassaim‌ ‌(6)‌ ‌and‌ ‌Aldona‌ ‌(2).‌ ‌According‌ ‌to‌ ‌the‌ ‌health‌ ‌bulletin‌ ‌released‌ ‌by‌ ‌the‌ ‌Directorate‌ ‌of‌ ‌Health‌ ‌Service,‌ ‌the‌ ‌highest‌ ‌number‌ ‌of‌ ‌active‌ ‌cases‌ ‌in‌ ‌Bardez‌ ‌was‌ ‌in‌ ‌Porvorim‌ ‌(275‌ ‌cases),‌ ‌followed‌ ‌by‌ ‌Mapusa‌ ‌UHC‌ ‌(218),‌ ‌Colvale‌ ‌(146),‌ ‌Siolim‌ ‌(127),‌ ‌Aldona‌ ‌(118)‌ ‌and‌ ‌Candolim‌ ‌(86).‌ ‌

Need for surveillance system across the State: Oppn leader

Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat has said there’s an urgent need to restore CCTV cameras in Margao and Government must put up an effective surveillance system all across the State.He said the CCTV cameras were installed in Margao with the help of MPLAD funds. “Unfortunately, the governments which came to power after 2012 had other priorities and could not maintain the cameras in Margao while Fatorda proposal did not see the light of day,” he charged.
