Belagavi native dies in fall

BICHOLIM: A 40-year-old labourer from Khanapur-Belagavi died after a fall at a relative's house in Bicholim on Monday.

According to Bicholim police, Maulasab Diwan Nawar had gone to a relative's house in Bicholim to help tie bales of hay. He climbed a large trunk to tie the bales of hay, when he became uneasy and lost balance. He fell down and sustained grievous injuries.

He was rushed to PHC Bicholim and later moved to GMC hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.

A post mortem report revealed that he died of cardiac arrest. After an autopsy, the body was handed over to relatives for final rites. PI Narayan Chimulkar is investigating the case.
