Bishop of Belgaum Rev Dr Derek Fernandes has congratulated The Goan for publishing its Holly Jolly Christmas 2023 magazine, adding that the thought-provoking articles reflect the spirit of Christmas in true sense.
He was speaking after receiving a copy of the Holly Jolly Christmas 2023 magazine at the Bishop’s House on Christmas Day.
“The Holly Jolly Christmas 2023 magazine is an excellent magazine that reflects the spirit of Christmas in a true sense. The articles are thought-provoking as well as have deciphered the true meaning of Christmas. I congratulate the editor and the team for an excellent effort in publishing this beautiful magazine,” Bishop Fernandes said.
Meanwhile, dignitaries from Belagavi called on Bishop Fernandes to greet him on the occasion of Christmas at a function that was held at the Bishop’s House on Monday evening.
Belagavi North MLA Raju (Asif) Sait, former MLA Feroz Sait, SP Medical Director of the KLES Dr Prabhakar Kore Hospital Col. Dayanand, MD of Cancer Hospital Dr M V Jali, Dr V D Patil, DCP Rohan Jagdish were among others who greeted the Bishop.
