Benaulim students rewarded for academic excellence
Students from Benaulim were felicitated by Benaulim MLA Venzy Viegas.

Aam Aadmi Party Benaulim MLA Capt Venzy Viegas felicitated meritorious SSC and HSSC students from Benaulim on Saturday. He said the MLA Scholarship initiative was aimed at motivating students and encouraging them to pursue their educational goals. The event was attended by 105 students and their parents from across Benaulim. Students who scored 75% and above, the top five students from Benaulim and the top three students from each village were felicitated.

The students were also provided with career guides, while Viegas offered to arrange free aptitude tests for them. The event was attended by Fr Diogo Manuel Fernandes as the chief guest, along with former ZP member Joseph Pimenta, Xavier Vas, Dr Saharsh Bhasker Naik, Rosario D’Costa, James Barretto and Ferina Costa. Capt Viegas shared his own educational and career experiences with the students and spoke about the importance of a 360-degree approach to success, covering all aspects of life.

He urged students to make use of the opportunities provided by his office, including aptitude tests and counselling. Viegas also said he would work to support students and youth in their search for jobs by helping bring job creators to the constituency. Congratulating the students and their parents, the MLA said he hoped parents would give him the opportunity to help create career opportunities for the students at every stage of their careers.
