The Aam Aadmi Party leaders have firmly set its eyes on the 2027 Assembly polls, with party chief Adv Amit Palekar saying that the change that was ushered in Benaulim and Velim in the 2022 election will be replicated across the state in 2027.

In fact, Palekar said both Benaulim MLA Venzy Viegas and Velim MLA Cruz Silva will be Ministers in the government that would be formed in 2027, adding that he too will be part of the new dispensation.

Benaulim MLA Venzy Viegas too pitched for AAP government in 2027, saying the Mohalla clinics set up in both Benaulim and Velim constituencies will be replicated in the future.

AAP leaders took the platform of the launch of community health centre at Velim coinciding with the birthday celebrations of Velim MLA Cruz Silva on Saturday to make an appeal to the people of Goa to support AAP to bring about a change in the state.

In his address, the AAP Goa Chief said despite being in the opposition, both Venzy and Cruz have shown that they can achieve a lot and that too by taking on the government head on.

“Both the MLAs have made the party proud not just in Goa, but in Delhi as well. Even the turncoats have not been able to achieve what our two MLAs have done in the last two and half years”, Palekar said.

Asserting that AAP has become a major voice against corruption, Palekar said the party had to face the music from the BJP government, but vowed to continue the movement. “We have started the work of expanding our party across the state. Our teams are working on the ground with the sole purpose of bringing about a change in Goa”, Palekar said.

In his address, Venzy Viegas recalled that AAP leaders had gone to the people of Goa in the run up to the 2022 election to give the party a chance to rule Goa and avail benefits of the various schemes implemented in Delhi including the Mohalla clinics. “May be the people of Goa were not convinced of the Mohalla clinics in Delhi, but the people of Velim and Benaulim voted for AAP and you can see today the mohalla clinics taking shape in these two constituencies without government support”, he added.

He made a fervent appeal to the people of Goa to help AAP to replicate the Velim and Benaulim model across the state.

In his address, Velim MLA Cruz Silva thanked the people of Velim for having reposed their trust in him to serve them for five years. He said the community health centre will help the people of the constituency to have quick access to health needs.
