Betalbatim boy’s viscera preserved for chemical analysis

MARGAO
The viscera of the 14-year boy from Betalbatim, who was found dead in a village pond after going missing, has been preserved for chemical analysis.

Colva police station in-charge, PI Melson Colaco informed that the post-mortem examination on the Std IX boy was conducted on Sunday. He said though the autopsy has ruled out foul play in the death of the young boy, the viscera has been preserved for chemical analysis.

The body of the deceased boy was later handed over to the relatives, he added.

PI Colaco informed that preliminary inquiry into the missing boy and his subsequent death in the pond has revealed that he along with two other boys had gone to the pond to have bath.  “We had called the other two boys for interrogations in the matter. It has come to light that the deceased boy and the other two boys had gone to the pond to have bath,” PI Colaco added.
