Thursday is the last date for the withdrawal of the nomination papers. Election for these four wards will take place on July 1 and counting of votes the following day on July 2.
Returning Officer Vishal Kundaikar informed that all the nomination papers,
including the lone nomination paper field by Leticia Maria Miranda for the reserved ward no III of Betalbatim Panchayat are in
order.
Kundaikar said that the six nomination papers filed for the three reserved wards of Betalbatim panchayat were found in order.
Similarly, he said that of the five nomination papers received for the Kirbhat ward of Nuvem village, the nomination papers filed by Peter Fernandes, Bernardo Fernandes, Milagrina Colaco and Tribune K have been found in order.
Candidates will have time till 2 pm on Thursday to withdraw from the fray.
