Bhagwat Saptah begins in Vasco

A Bhagwat Saptah Gyan Yajna began at the Baina Maruti Temple in Vasco on March 9, marking the first time such a week-long spiritual programme is being organised in the city.

The religious event, scheduled to continue until March 15 has been organised by members of the Sambhaji Nagar Brahman Samaj and Hindu community, who have jointly taken the initiative to conduct the Bhagwat Saptah for the spiritual welfare and well-being of residents in the area.

The initiative of holding the week long Bhagwat Saptah in Vasco was conceptualised by

Dwarkanath Bhatji of the Ambabai temple Mangor hill and Prasad Bhatji from Maruti temple Baina.

The organisers stated that the programme is being held under the guidance of H.B.P. Purushottam Buva Pokharankar from Kudal, Maharashtra, who is delivering the Bhagwat discourse during the week. He is being accompanied by Mahesh Kamlakar Guruji, along with supporting musicians including Ameya Patwardhan and team.

As part of the programme, daily religious rituals and readings from the Bhagwat scripture are being conducted in the morning, followed by spiritual discourses in the evening.

According to the schedule announced by the organisers, the Bhagwat Pravachan is being held every evening from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm, followed by aarti and distribution of prasad.

Organisers said the Bhagwat Saptah is being conducted for the first time in Vasco with the aim of bringing devotees together through devotional teachings and spiritual discourse.
