Bicholim gets projects through MPLAD scheme

AYUSH Minister Shripad Naik inaugurated different projects through the MPLAD scheme in Bicholim taluka.
Naik handed over an ambulance to Mayem village through the MPLAD scheme. The keys of the ambulance were handed over to Mayem Panchayat authorities. Speaker Anant Shet, Mayem Sarpanch Urvi Masurkar, Panch Vijaykumar Pole and others were present.
Speaking on the occasion, Shripad Naik said the Ayush department has taken an initiative at national level to provide better health facilities, especially to the rural people.
Speaker Shet appreciated Naik's efforts for undertaking different development programmes for betterment of the people.
Naik also inaugurated illumination of LED streetlights at Sinquerim in Mayem Panchayat area.
Naik provided a hearse van to Surla and Kudne Panchayats and also inaugurated sports Gymkhana at Navelim-Bicholim. Sakhali MLA Dr Pramod Sawant, Surla Sarpanch Krishna Gawade, Kudne Panchayat members Suresh Kamat, Rajan Falkar and Sakha Malik and Surla Panchas were present.
Later, Naik inaugurated sports gym at Navelim panchayat. Navelim Sarpanch Adv Deepesh Gauns, Panch Swati Mainkar, Gopinath Gawas and Kalidas Gauns and former panchas Vishwabhar Gawas and Dayanand Gawas were present.
