PONDA: The eight edition of State level women’ ‘Fugadi’ competition organised by Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir-Ponda will commence from January 1. The finals will be on January 8.
Addressing a news conference in the city, Ponda MLA and Rajiv Gandhi Kala Mandir chairman Lavu Mamledar said primary rounds of competition will be held between January 1 and 5 at 2 pm. “The finals will be held on January 8. Fifteen groups will perform,” he said.
According to Mamledar, about 119 groups will perform in the first five rounds of the competition. “Three winners will qualify for the finals each day,” he said.
Councillor of Ponda Municipal Council (PMC) Nidhi Mamlekar, Ashok Naik and Kanta Gaude were present.
