Bids open for 4-laning of Benordem-Polem stretch of NH66

22 companies have bid for project

The much-awaited bidding for the 4-laning of the NH66 highway between Benordem (Quepem) and Polem border, with the exception of the Canacona Bypass, was opened on Monday.

Among the 22 companies bidding for the works, the lowest bid was quoted by Kaluwala Construction Private Limited (KCPL) with a bid price of Rs 594.18 crore, which is significantly lower than the project’s estimated cost of Rs 952.23 crore.

KCPL’s bid was lower than that of road and bridges giant Dilip Buildcon Limited, Ram Kumar Contractor Pvt. Ltd, Barbrik Project Limited, PSK Infrastructures and Projects Private Limited, and other companies.

The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH) has floated a tender for the four-laning of a section of NH-66 in Goa, specifically from the Benordem start of the Canacona Bypass to Polem, on Hybrid Annuity Mode. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 952.23 crore, and the tender involves a 22.10 km stretch.
