The government officers will also be called upon to state the steps they intend to take in laying Bismarque’s body to rest.
Adv Aires Rodrigues, in his complaint, pointed out that the body of late Bismarque has been stored at the morgue of GMC morgue since November 7, 2015. He sought to highlight that as the necessary forensic tests have already been conducted, the mortal remains are not required for any further examination and hence, pleaded that Bismarque be laid to rest.
Adv Rodrigues has submitted that if nobody claims his body, it would be a social responsibility of the state government to ensure that his human right to a dignified farewell is not violated any further. The complaint seeks directions to the state government to dispose of Bismarque’s mortal remains according to religious customs.
