Ahead of the 2027 Goa Assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday appointed former Union Minister of State for Health Bharati Pawar as the party’s new Goa in-charge and Anil Antony as co-incharge.
The appointments were announced by BJP national president Nitin Nabin as part of a nationwide organisational reshuffle.
The new organisational team comes as the BJP Goa begins preparations for the Assembly elections due next year.
Pawar, also the party’s national vice president, will oversee the party’s affairs in Goa, while Antony will assist her as co-in-charge.
“We look forward to their guidance, leadership and valuable contribution towards further strengthening the BJP organisation in Goa,” the BJP Goa posted on social media after the announcement.
