CANACONA
Referring to several projects he has initiated and executed as BJP legislator in Canacona, Dy Speaker and Canacona MLA Isidore Fernandes said the BJP government has performed much more than what Congress could ever provide for the people of Canacona.
Fernandes was speaking after launching the hot-mixing of internal roads in Ourem, which is part of the world-famous Palolem beach in Canacona. The roadworks in Palolem follows from similar hot-mixing of a dilapidated road at another world-acclaimed beach in Agonda.
Fernandes advised residents of Palolem, most of who are in the tourism trade, to intimate him about pending works in their areas instead of merely criticising the MLA for not doing anything for the people.
“By being part of the BJP government, I have ushered all sorts of development for the people of Canacona, something which only the BJP government could do and no one else. This government has processed every file that I submitted,” said Fernandes.
Canacona Municipal Council ex-chairperson Simon Rebello acknowledged the efforts of the Canacona MLA. Others present on the occasion included Canacona BJP Block President Nandip Bhagat.
