In Curtorim, the home area of Independent MLA Reginaldo Lourenco, the BJP tried to win over minority communities, warning them not to believe Congress’s claim that the BJP is communal.

Margao MLA Digambar Kamat, Navelim MLA Ulhas Tuenkar, BJP ST leader Anthony Barbosa, and others all said that the BJP is a party that brings together people from all communities to work on development.

At the BJP Curtorim Karyakarta melava on Saturday evening, attended by Party State President Damu Naik, Digambar Kamat said Congress is trying to create fear among minorities by saying the BJP is against them.

“Don’t fall prey to the false propaganda spread by the Congress party at the time of elections. The BJP does not discriminate against any religion. People of all communities benefit from the schemes introduced by the government at the centre and in Goa,” Kamat said. He also urged BJP workers in Curtorim to keep the party flag flying high there.

Kamat said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is working hard to make India a superpower and called on people to support him in this dream.

In his speech, BJP Navelim MLA Ulhas Tuenkar said he won in the 2022 election with support from people of all communities, regardless of religion. He asked the Curtorim Karyakartas to bring BJP schemes to the people’s doorsteps.

BJP ST leader Anthony Barbosa warned people not to fall for Congress’s false claim that the BJP is communal.

He said people now understand Congress’s tactics and expressed confidence that minorities will support the BJP in the future.

BJP State President Damu Naik advised party workers at the event to take government schemes and achievements directly to the people.
