Commenting on BJP’s Panaji manifesto which was released recently, Goa Suraksha Manch said it is project-oriented and not people-oriented.
BJP has not mentioned any priority and time frame for the projects which they listed in the manifesto, GSM vice-president, Swati Kerkar said at a press conference on
Sunday.
“They have not mentioned anything about removal of casinos either,” Kerkar said, adding that the Smart City project has no reference in the manifesto.
“The party has mentioned 4-laning of the St-Inez Tonca road but there is no mention under which scheme it will be done,” she
added.
The smart city project is a Rs 6200 crore project which was commissioned in 2016. In the last two and half years, government has done nothing in terms of the Smart City project, she said, adding that a detailed account of how much money has been spent so far should be made public.
Kerkar while endorsing the statement of the BJP women cell about the character of the Congress candidate Atanasio Monseratte, appealed to the women to oppose with the same spirit any move by their party to either take Babush into the party or align with him.
She said, the GSM will back the BJP women’s cell and also hailed its chief Kunda Chodankar for appreciating the good character of its candidate Subhash
Velingkar.
