BJP never discriminated over religion, caste or creed: Irani

Union Minister Smriti Irani on Friday said the BJP has never discriminated against people on religion, caste or creed, saying the schemes unveiled by the party government at the Centre and in Goa have benefited all sections of the society.

Addressing the election meeting of BJP Margao candidate, Deputy CM Manohar Ajgaonkar at Aquem on Friday, the Union Minister urged the people of Margao to vote and elect Ajgaonkar to bring back the party to power in the State.

She also took potshots at Congress leaders for taking a pledge from the party candidates that they will remain loyal, wondering how the people will repose their faith in a party that has no faith in its candidates.

Saying the BJP has ushered in the all-round development of the State, Irani outlined the host of projects that have been undertaken in the State by the party over the last 10 years. 

In his address, Ajgaonkar slammed at the Margao MLA Digambar Kamat for the city’s neglect and urged the people to bring about a change in Margao.
