Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ST leader Anthony Barbosa has appealed to the leaders of all political parties to leave behind their differences and join hands to hoist the Tricolour at the residence of the party workers.
Addressing the media, Barbosa said not only the national political parties but also the State parties should request their party workers to leave behind their differences and join the people of the country to hoist the tricolour as per the call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He further said the Curtorim unit of the BJP will take out a Tiranga rally from Manora ground to the Raia football ground on Sunday to commemorate the Country’s Independence. He said students from schools in Curtorim constituency will participate in the walking rally from the Manora grounds to the Raia football grounds on Sunday. “We have decided to involve the school students in the rally to make them aware of the sacrifices of the freedom fighters for the Independence of the country,” he said, adding that the Curtorim unit of the BJP will distribute flags to the people free of cost.
Barbosa further said that the BJP Curtorim unit led by Dr Sneha Bhagwat will celebrate Raksha Bandhan at the Maina Curtorim police station on August 11 at 11 am.
