While applauding the efforts of police to nab the accused in the Margao gold merchant murder case and the Anjuna Saw Mill attack, the State BJP on Friday said that to install fear of law the police should see that accused in the cases like Margao murder should get severe punishment.
“Government is working hard to keep law and order in the State. The accused in Margao and Anjuna cases have been nabbed by police within a days time. Now, the police should see that the accused get maximum punishment,” said BJP State President, Sadanand Shet Tanavade.
Meanwhile, Tanavade informed that the BJP local wing is going to organise a week-long social activity drive at local level to commemorate 70th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi which is on September 17.
“17 September is the birthday of Prime Minister and to mark this occasion from September 14 to 20 programmes will be held,” said Tanavade.
In this week, different social programmes such as blood donation, tree plantation, plant distribution, cleanliness drive will be held.
Also on the occasion of the birth anniversary of BJP leader Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay the State party is going to organise a virtual meeting on November 25.
