Board releases guidelines for preparing SSC results

Calls upon schools to maintain proficiency and consistency during internal assessment

The Goa Board has released a policy document to be used by schools for tabulation of marks for preparing the SSC results on the basis of internal assessment conducted by the schools. 

Students who are not satisfied with the marks allocated will be given the opportunity to appear in an exam as and when the conditions are conducive to hold the exams.

The board also announced the syllabus and weightage for entrance exam for admission to Science stream and diploma courses. The dates for the entrance exam will be notified in advance, said the Board. 

The syllabus of Maths and Science (class X) and weightage to the content for entrance exam have been formulated. The schools are told to record the names of the students desirous to appeal for entrance exams and once a web portal is opened the same could be uploaded. The web portal will be opened shortly, the Board said.

ATKT (Allowed To Keep Terms) will be allowed for unsuccessful candidates in class XI for the academic year 2021-22.

The Board said delivering impartial and fair results to candidates on time is an onerous task before it and the schools. 

The Board said it reposes trust on every school headmaster and every school teacher to complete this process with highest degree of proficiency and consistency do that parents feel confident in the accuracy and fairness of the results.

The objective of the policy document is to develop an unbiased and perspicuous academic record based on a realistic evaluation of academic performance of candidates. The four key principles of evaluation namely, credibility, tranquility, flexibility and authenticity should be followed in a letter and spirit during the evaluation process.

Chief Minister to chair urgent meet of edu officials today  

PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant will chair an urgent meeting of the officials of the Education Department, Technical Education, Higher Education and Education Board at 10 am at Conference Hall, Ministers Block, Porvorim, on Wednesday, June 2.
