The Curchorem Police with due assistance from the Curchorem Fire Brigade Personnel today fished out a dead body from the Zuari river at Curchorem.
The body was reportedly noticed to be floating in the Zuari River near the bridge and was immediately brought to the notice of the Curchorem Police.
The police personnel with assistance from the Curchorem Fire Personnel removed the body which is reported to be that of a male person and reportedly had been in the water for around 4 to 5 days.
The body was later sent for post mortem. Curchorem police are investigating the matter as there is no missing complaint as of now at the Curchorem Police Station.
Meanwhile, given the increasing number of suicides at the Curchorem bridge in the Zuari River, citizens have called for barricading the bridge to avoid recurrence of the incidents in the area.
