Bollywood actor’s car crash sparks high drama in Quepem, 2 hurt

QUEPEM

High drama was witnessed at Kusman in Quepem taluka after a car allegedly driven by Bollywood actor Ashwin Mushran allegedly collided with a two-wheeler, leaving a father and his son seriously injured.

Mushran, who has featured in films including ‘Lage Raho Munna Bhai’, ‘Fashion’ and ‘Desi Boyz’, has been accused of driving on the wrong side of the road when the accident occurred.

According to eyewitnesses, Mushran’s car was on the wrong side when it collided head-on with the oncoming two-wheeler. The impact was reportedly severe, with locals at the scene claiming that a piece of bone from one of the injured victims became lodged in the car’s wheel fender. The injured were subsequently taken to hospital.

Eyewitnesses and locals alleged that instead of assisting the injured, Mushran and his wife got into an argument with the two-wheeler riders and other people who had gathered. The incident reportedly led to tension at the spot.

On receiving information about the accident, local councillor Amol Kanekar and other residents reached the site and confronted the actor over what they described as irresponsible behaviour.

Speaking to media, Kanekar levelled several allegations against the actor and his wife. He claimed that Mushran’s wife allegedly spat at some locals during the argument. Kanekar further alleged that the actor left the accident site and went to a party before the dispute had been resolved.

Angered by the incident, locals reportedly stopped the actor’s car and prevented him from leaving. Mushran later returned to the spot and apologised to those present.
