The name was finalised during a meeting organized to discuss various SVEEP activities at the Office of the Collector and District Election Officer North Goa.
“The confirmation was received for one of the proposed icons who is a former Indian football team captain and recipient of Arjuna award -- Brahmanand Shankwalkar,” the department said in a statement. Besides this various upcoming SVEEP activities were planned for North Goa during the same.
The activities involve street play competitions, short films to promote ethical voting, Signature campaign, nominations of icons and other poll-related campaigns.
