Two persons attempted to snatch the Mangalsutra from the neck of a woman who was walking on the road at Pethecha Wada in Korgao.
According to sources, some women were walking on the streets, when two unidentified youth tried to snatch the Mangalsutra from the neck of one of the women.
Seeing this, the other women raised an alarm and tried to catch the robbers. In the chaos, the Mangalsutra fell on the road, and the robbers left a mobile and footwear and fled from the site.
There were people around, who also tried to find the robbers.
The police later reached on the spot and the footwear and a mobile phone, suspected to be belonging to one of the robbers, was found at the spot.
Police are confident of nabbing the accused with the help of the mobile left behind by one of the robbers.
