PANAJI
The Bombay High Court at Goa on Wednesday granted transit bail to environmental activist Subham Kar Chaudhuri, who feared that Delhi Police is falsely implicating him in the Greta Thunberg toolkit case.

Bengaluru-based climate change activist Disha Ravi was recently arrested in the case and later released on bail after spending several days in jail.

Justice MS Jawalkar said in the bail order: "reasons for apprehension of arrest is justified in the facts presented by the applicant."

The transit bail has been granted to Chaudhuri for 10 days to enable him approach competent Courts for regular bail relief.

Currently Chaudhuri is based in Goa and has expressed fear of arrest by the Delhi Police in the Toolkit case in which Shantanu Muluk and Nikita Jacob are also on the radar.

Chaudhuri said he was in touch with Muluk and Jacob, both of whom have been booked for conspiracy and sedition in the Toolkit case.

But the interaction with the duo had been in connection with another project altogether, the bail application said.

"Nikita Jacob and Shantanu Muluk happen to be the members of the Extinction Rebellion India chapter, and his interaction with the said persons is strictly in capacity as liaison and in their capacity as volunteers in Extinction Rebellion -- which is completely unconnected with the offences that the hypothesis of the Delhi Police alleges. The petitioner reiterates that he has nothing whatsoever to do with the making of the alleged 'Toolkit'," the bail application stated.

Chaudhuri, 29, has been living in Goa for several months and is doing work for accreditation of Goa's unique khazan farming lands systems with the UN.
