Bundh modified into walkway at Parsem

In a boost to tourism industry in Mandrem constituency, a ‘Bundh’ at Khajangundo sluice gate at Parsem-Pernem has been beautified and modified into a walkway.

The walkway is constructed at a cost of Rs 5 crore by WRD and GTDC and it is likely to be inaugurated in the first week of December. Lighting, sitting arrangements, walking trek and small garden are included in the walkway.   
Speaking to The Goan, Chief Minister and local MLA Laxmikant Parsekar said the beautification work of Khajangundo ‘bundh’ is in the last phase and works of two circles are remaining. “The walkway is likely to be inaugurated in the first week of December,” he added.   
Giving more details about the beautification works in Mandrem constituency, Parsekar said:
“The beautification work of Chopdem junction is going at a fast speed.”
