In a bid to establish a long-term market for products of local MSMEs from larger players, the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Goa Council organised a well-attended 'buyer-seller' meet at a city hotel on Friday where the State government's Department of Industries Trade and Commerce collaborated.
The CII Goa Council, in collaboration with the State's Department of Industries, organised a buyer-seller meet on Friday to promote market linkages for local MSMEs. Industries Secretary Suneel Anchipaka emphasized aligning State and Central incentives to benefit industries and highlighted efforts to support women entrepreneurs and self-help groups.
The effort was aimed at promoting market linkages for industries operating in the State even as the State's Industries Secretary Suneel Anchipaka, IAS, made a case for local industries to link up with global players to find a market for their products.
Anchipaka who addressed the attendees at the buyer-seller meet said, the State government was working on converging the incentives of Central government schemes with those of the State to make them more beneficial and thus attractive to the industry here.
He also said that the incentives to the industry are being modified to suit the needs of women entrepreneurs, including Goa's flourishing self-help groups ecosystem.
