Amid dengue cases being reported in Calangute, the panchayat has now decided to conduct free dengue tests from Friday.
The tests will be carried out in the panchayat conference hall from Monday to Saturday between 9.30 am and 11 am. On Sunday, the tests would be done at the residence of former Candolim health officer Dr Diksha Divkar at Khobravada during the same time.
“The tests would be conducted by Dr Divkar. If anyone in the village has symptoms of fever, they should visit the Panchayat and get their tests for dengue,” appealed Calangute Sarpanch Joseph Sequeira.
Meanwhile, the number of dengue patients in Bardez has been on the rise for the past few days. A 30-year woman from Candolim died of suspected dengue on Monday.
