MARGAO
As the office of the South Goa Collector has inserted an advertisement inviting applications to fill up around 147 vacancies, many a prospective candidate claimed that the website mentioned in the advertisement is not opening and hence cannot lay their hands on the application forms.
District Collector, South Agnelo Fernandes, however, has promised to look into the complaints, saying he would immediately get in touch with the NIC officials to find out the problem, if any.
The South Goa Collector had invited applications for the post of Junior Stenographer (15), talathis (09), Lower Division Clerks (92) and multi-tasking staff (31).
The advertisement giving complete details of the post, reservation, qualifications, selection criteria, besides the application form format and all other requirements were to be seen on the Collectorate South website and the government of Goa
portal.
Many a prospective candidate, however, claimed that since the advertisement had appeared in the media around a week ago, the Collectorate website has not been opening, denying them the opportunity to see the details and to download the application form.
The last date to submit
the application form is February 11 at the Matanhy Saldanha Administrative Complex.
When The Goan drew attention of the district Collector to the complaints of the non-functioning official website emanating from the candidates, Agnelo has promised to immediately
get in touch with the NIC
officials.
“No one has brought to my knowledge that the Collectorate website is slow or not functioning. I will immediately ask the NIC officials to look into the issue and rectify the problem, if any,” the Collector said.
