Cansaulim PHC likely by Jan 2018

After a delayed and slow start, work on the upgraded 42-bedded Cansaulim Primary Health Centre has gathered pace and is due for completion by January 2018.

Work on the Rs 8 crore project had stopped after its contract was terminated and the work has been presently tendered to M/s Indage Development Construction Ltd, which is being taken up under the aegis of GSIDC.  
Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha said that she was confident that the work would be completed within a year. She said this has been a long-pending demand not only of her constituents, but also of villagers of Majorda and Betalimbatim.
The health centre which will have a basement and ground plus-two floors is coming up on 2,510 sqmts of land and will have built up area of 3,849 sqmts.

Vijai says unique TCP proposal to be deliberated upon after panchayat polls

Town and Country Planning Minister Vijai Sardesai has promised that the proposal of Transfer of Development Rights first mooted at a meeting to review the status of the Regional Plan would be deliberated further once the panchayat polls are completed.
