Cansaulim PHC turns into Covid hospital

Amid rising Covid cases in Mormugao taluka, the Cansaulim Primary Health Centre (PHC) has been declared as the second Covid hospital in the taluka and will now be used to admit and treat suspected and confirmed Covid cases.

“The entire premises of the Cansaulim PHC has been declared as a ‘Covid-19 Hospital, Cansaulim’ for the State with immediate effect and only suspects or confirmed Covid cases will be admitted and treated," stated a press release by the Department of Information and Publicity.

Earlier, the state administration had taken over the entire premises of Mormugao Port Trust at Headland Sada-Vasco as a ‘Covid-19 Hospital, Vasco’ with immediate effect and only suspects or confirmed Covid cases will be admitted and treated.
