Vasco MLA and KTCL Chairman Carlos Almeida is expected to be discharged from GMC on Sunday and will later be moved to Kerala for Ayurvedic physiotherapy massages.
According to reliable sources, Almeida is completely stable. While Almeida wanted to return to Vasco, his supporters have requested his family to move him to an Ayurvedic hospital in Kerala for ayurvedic physiotherapy for one week which will also give him rest and help in recovery.
According to the source, Almeida will be discharged on Sunday and directly moved to Arya Vaidya Sala in Kotakkal for a week of physiotherapy massages. Almeida was expected to be discharged on Saturday, but getting him to Vasco and later moving to Kerala would be hectic and hence a decision was taken to take a discharge on Sunday and directly proceed to Kerala.
“He is fit now and the reports on all parameters are absolutely normal. He can sit and also have food. GMC superintendent also confirmed that he is on medicines and physiotherapy and is completely stable. The blood supply has also improved and doctors have said physiotherapy is very crucial for him. Necessary arrangements have been made at Arya Vaidya Sala, Kerala’’, said the source.
“Arya Vaidya is a 100 year old Institution engaged in practice of Ayurveda and offers treatments and therapies to patients from all over India and abroad”, the source said.
