Aldona Parish Priest Fr Tomas Lobo has said the Catholic Church has been reaching out to people without any ulterior motive.
“The Catholic Church has always taken steps to walk together with all peoples, irrespective of their religion, creed, ethnicity, language or social status. The Church does not in any way seek to draw anyone into its fold neither by coercion, allurements or enticements,” said Fr Lobo.
“Its doors are always open to any person who wishes to join its fold. However, even when a person desires to embrace the Catholic faith, the Church follows a due process that goes into months and even years before an aspirant is admitted into the Catholic faith.”
“When reaching out in concern towards humanity that is wounded and suffering it does so not with any ulterior motive but does so following in the footsteps of Jesus her master and founder who gave a profound example of humble, selfless and cheerful service towards entire humanity,” he added.
