PANAJI
Corporation of City of Panaji (CCP) has written to the Department of Urban Development (UD) requesting to move a proposal to the State Government for having a common cadre for CCP employees.
Stating that the staff working for years together in one municipal corporation or council becomes rigid in their behaviour and at time adopt their own way of functioning, CCP has pointed that the public who visit CCP have to bear harassment and delay.
CCP Commissioner Dipak Desai, in his letter to the Director of UD, has stated, “Taking the above fact into consideration, the proposal for having a common cadre for all categories of CCP/municipal employees including administrative and field staff was placed before the Corporation meeting on April 25 and it was unanimously resolved to request the government to have a common cadre for the staff of the CCP with all other municipal councils in Goa.”
The CCP has requested the Department of UD to move the proposal before the government for consideration and approval at the earliest.
