Child artists shine on Liberation Day
PANAJI: The Goa Liberation Day proved to be an eventful day for the children of Panaji as hundreds of students from schools around the city participated in a drawing competition honouring the history and natural beauty of Goa. The contest was held at the Bhagvaan Mahaveer Children’s Park in Panaji by Rotary Club of Panaji. The Goan in School was the official media partner.
The competition was held from 9 am to noon in four categories - below 5 years; 5-10 years; 10-15 years and Special Children. Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar along with Tourism Minister Dilip Parulekar visited and interacted with the children.
Speaking to TGIS, Rotary Club member Manoj Patil said "Each child will be given a certificate of participation and the winners will be announced and prizes distributed at a later date."
