The ten-member delegation led by Chen, which is in Goa as a part of their official visit, met CCP Mayor Surendra Furtado and the City Corporators.
Speaking to media persons, Chen said, “I am moved by the hospitality given by Mayor Surendra Furtado. We would like to establish a mutual and cultural relationship with Panaji. We strongly believe we can become sister cities.”
Furtado said, “I have requested for twinning between both the cities. He has shown positive response. I have told him people of Panaji like Chinese crockery, furniture and the food too. I am confident that we would get some positive response.”
As a token of love and gratitude, CCP also presented him with a basket of mangoes.
