We want the municipal authorities to act immediately against the encroachments not only against the Comunidade square, but across the city,” Miranda said. rFormer MMC Chairperson Savio Coutinho recalled how the current Chairperson Babita Angle Prabhudesai had held a public media briefing seeking cooperation of Madgavkars to put an end to the illegal hawking in front of the Comunidade square. “We do not know why the drive by the municipality against the illegal hawking has stopped suddenly,” Coutinho said.
