CM hears grievances at Quepem

As part of the two-day Prashasan Tumchya Dari, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant interacted with and heard the grievances of the local elected representatives and the general public of Quepem taluka at the Quepem Municipal Hall on Friday.

He listened to the general public individually and asked administrative officers to address their issues.

While addressing the public, Sawant said that under the Sarkar Tumchya Dari and Swayampurna Goa initiative, administrative officers are present at every panchayat and municipality every Saturday to assist the general public.

He said the government had decided on 10 focal points which include housing for all, sanitation for all, financial security for all, social security for all, equipment for divyang, Kisan credit card, Kisan card for all, fisheries card for all and through Swayampurna Goa programme, 98% of the population has been made aware of various schemes of the government.

"Under the Swayampurna Goa 2.0 programme, additional focus points will be added such as skill development to generate skilled manpower by imparting various training," he said.

Further, Sawant said that as part of the two-day programme, on March 18, 2023, all IAS and Goa Civil Service officers will visit all 191 panchayats and 14 municipalities to review the work done by Swayampurna Mitras and Panchayats on 32 decided points and this will be the first time in any State.

He said there are a total of 121 welfare schemes of the Goa government and urged all to offer it to the needy.

The government is of people and working without any differences for the welfare of the people, he said.

MLA Altone D'costa praised the working of the Chief Minister and thanked him for representing Quepem taluka for Administration at your doorstep programme. He briefed the Chief Minister on demands for the Quepem constituency.

Former MLA Chandrakant Kavlekar said the administration at your doorstep is a unique programme which is benefiting people at large in a big way.

Quepem municipality chairperson Suchita Shirwaikar, Curchorem Cacora municipality chairperson Jasmine Braganza, Zilla Panchayat members Siddharth Gauns Dessai, Kushali Velip, Shanu Velip, Sanjana Velip, acting Chief Secretary & Principal Secretary (Finance) Dr V Candavelou, IAS and Collector & District Magistrate South Goa Asvin Chandru A, IAS were present on the occasion.
